Week of 5th June, 2017

Dear Parents, This is the final full week of school and we have a lot of activities planned to go out with a bang. Tomorrow, Tuesday 6th June, is the Fun Afternoon at Jardim Europa from 16:00 to 18:00. Please remember to bring socks for the Meias do Bem drive and whatever item your child signed up to bring (PYP 8 Beta/Sigma: juice; Omega: plates, cups, napkins, plastic cutlery). Friday, 9th June, is Pajama Day where students can come dressed in their favorite sleep wear. There will also be a movie shown in the afternoon, which students will get to vote for the movie they want to watch. This week PYP 8 will be doing the final round of SATs. Like the previous exams, they will not be used to determine grades, but are used for internal diagnostic purposes. Please ensure students get a good night sleep and a good breakfast. Below is the schedule. Date Test Monday,  5th June Reading (60min.) - Periods 1-2 Tuesday, 6th June Maths 1 (30min.) - Periods 3-4 Wednesday, 7th June SPAG (45min.) + Spelling (15 min.) - Periods 1-2 Thursday, 8th June Maths 2 (40min) - Periods 3-4 Friday, 9th June Maths 3 (40min.) - Periods 1-2 Next week, we will have Festa Junina on Monday at Jd. Europa. Please remember to bring in your authorisations. Tuesday will be the moving up ceremony for PYP 8 at 8:10 in the theatre at Pinheiros. Parents are free to take children home after the ceremony is over.
